ADVANCED BEGINNER - INTERMEDIATE

The tap intensive runs for three days, followed by a Live Music Workshop on the fourth day. Be sure to arrive before class. We start on time and go for the full time allotted. Parents will be invited in on the final day to watch a mini performance of some technique drills and routine.

The following classes and packages are available for students ages 10-13 or ANY student of ANY age who is at the Advanced Beginner to Beginner Intermediate level. This is ideal for any students who have been dancing a minimum of 2-3 years. Students at this level should have a strong understanding of musicality and phrasing. Students should be able to execute triple time steps, pickups, double wings, and work at a moderate to quick tempo.

During the three day intensive, we will be working on expanding the fundamentals of tap through drills, musicality exercises and a routine. There will also be a focus on speed and longer phrasing. This class is ideal for anyone who has been tap dancing for a minimum of two  years.

Specialty Classes give students the opportunity to explore Rhythm in a more in depth way. Back by popular demand, The Rhythm Lab will offer:
Tricks & Turns on June 12th, Musical Theatre Tap on June 13th, and Historical Repertoire on June 14th.

LIVE MUSIC WORKSHOP
JUNE 13TH, 2024 @6:00-7:30

In this course, we will concentrate on the fundamentals of improvisation, with a focus on the relationship between tap and music. Students will learn music theory, how to work with song structure and the opportunity to dance with live music. This one is popular among the students and fills up quickly!
